WITH THE ANGELS
We walk amongst angels every day, I tell you it is true,
Sometimes black, sometimes brown, or white or even blue.
Their love for you and I is pure as the newly fallen snow,
And all the time unfailing, while others come and go.
Their time spent on earth with us is oh so short my friend,
So love them with all your heart, from beginning until end.
They fill a void within our life we didn't know was there,
And when they leave this earthly veil, we cry a final prayer.
Anthony, you were our first, so proud and brave and strong,
Since we last hugged and kissed you has been far, far too long.
Then Randy, my sweet boy you hold such a very special place,
That neither mere time nor distances ever could erase.
Bridgette, so full of life ever since you were but a pup,
Walk with us a while longer, before our all too short time is up.
Murphy, it truly was a wonder when first our eyes did meet,
To see the look of trust rekindled within that face so sweet.
And Katie, it seems only yesterday since we did bring you home,
There are so many fields and forests yet for us to roam.
The angels in my life to me have never said a single word,
And yet I've learned as much from them as anything I've heard.
You've earned your angel's wings, and broken my poor heart,
God be with you always as up to Heaven I know you must depart.
And my one and only wish is that when my time here is at end,
Is to walk across that Rainbow Bridge reunited with my friend.
